On November 21, 2022, the Centre Baclesse welcomed a Quebec delegation comprising Martin Beaumont, CEO of CHU de Québec-Université Laval, and Daniel La Roche, Director of Quality, Evaluation, Ethics and Institutional Affairs at CHU de Québec.
Discussions focused on the patient pathway in women's cancers: personalized medicine from the laboratory to the patient's bed. There were enriching discussions on our tumor organoid research program, as well as on genetics and genomics.
We also exchanged views on the benefits of an integrated "patient pathway" in oncology, within a single unit. The members of the delegation were able to share with us their rich experience in terms of hospital management and areas for improvement. To round off the visit, we received feedback on the implementation of patient partners.
A fine international cooperation is being built up, and new exchanges are in the offing.
