Prof. MAHÉ and Prof. HABRAND are delighted to announce that, following a close international competition, the Centre François Baclesse has been chosen to host the PTCOG* 64 congress on proton therapy and heavy particles, in June 2026.
This date should coincide with the reception of the C400 hadron gas pedal, emblematic of the ARCHADE program. The conference, organized in collaboration with NORMANDY-HADRONTHERAPY and the Normandy Region, is expected to attract some 2,000 participants, including doctors, physicists, engineers and industrialists.
Visits to the medical and scientific sites on the EPOPEA campus, such as the proton therapy center (on the CYCLHAD site), GANIL and associated laboratories, are envisaged in the same way as our emblematic tourist sites.
There were 4 bids in the running to host this 64th international congress: Milan, Dresden, Krakow and Caen. The Centre François Baclesse's bid was presented and won at the PTCOG 61 congress in Madrid on June 14, 2023.
