From January 14 to 17, 2026, the Baclesse Center participated in the 24th Cours Francophone Supérieur on Breast Cancer and Gynecological Cancers, held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. This leading event in breast cancer oncology brings together French-speaking experts every year to discuss the latest advances in research, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer, which affects nearly 58,000 women in France each year.
Three professionals from the Baclesse Center at the heart of the scientific program
- Professor Roman Rouzier, Chief Executive Officer, spoke about developments in breast surgery strategies, highlighting current approaches to treatment and the importance of personalized therapeutic decisions.
- Professor Florence Joly, Scientific Director, presented her work on breast cancer screening and the management of treatment-induced cognitive disorders, a major challenge for patients' quality of life during and after their illness.
- Dr. François Chérifi, Medical Oncologist, spoke about new therapeutic strategies in medical oncology, particularly immunotherapy and therapeutic rechallenge.
