To mark Pink October, the "Sourire et Détente" association in Bernières-sur-Mer organized the 2nd edition of its Pink Walk on Saturday October 15. The aim was to raise funds for cancer research at the Centre Baclesse.
At the invitation of the Bernières-based association, 75 people gathered at 2pm in front of the seaside resort's town hall for this 5km walk in solidarity. Bernières-sur-Mer was decked out in pink, with the town hall and shop windows decorated in pink.
750 euros for cancer research
The event raised 750 euros for the Centre Baclesse.
On Thursday October 20, 2022, Françoise Lebrec, accompanied by Nadine Sallard, Vice-President and Brigitte Gadbois, Treasurer, came to the Centre François Baclesse to present Géraldine Payen, in charge of donations and sponsorship, with a cheque for 750 euros to support the fight against breast cancer and the Centre's research activities.

The "Sourire et Détente" association, founded in 2002 by Françoise Lebrec, celebrated its 20th anniversary this year!
It is still the largest association in Bernières-sur-Mer, with 210 members. The association offers a wide range of activities: walks, cultural outings and visits, cycling, painting, genealogy, card games, as well as participation in all local events.
