On Thursday, November 3, 2022, the Centre Baclesse welcomed the Caen Hockey Club "Les Drakkars".
Christophe Lanes, President of the Hockey Club, accompanied by Brice Chauvel, General Manager, and Jérôme Caudrelier, Managing Director of AsUWish, a partner of the Drakkars and the Pink October campaign, presented Pr Marc-André Mahé, General Manager of the Centre Baclesse, and Pr Roman Rouzier, Scientific Director and Head of the Centre's Surgery Department, with a cheque for 1978 euros to support the fight against breast cancer.
On Saturday, October 29, the Caen Hockey Club organized a pink evening in aid of the Centre Baclesse. The evening kicked off at 8:30 p.m. with the kick-off of the Caen-Chambéry match by Pr Rouzier, who launched the puck onto the ice.
This was followed by fund-raising activities: the auction of jerseys, as well as the sale of pink pucks, created specifically for the event. The winners were invited by the players to collect their shirts on the ice.
And even if the results weren't as good as expected, the evening will remain a fond memory for all participants.
The mobilization of the Drakkars
The Caen-based club is a loyal supporter of the Centre Baclesse. This "Pink October" event was once again an opportunity to highlight a cause that is particularly close to the Drakkars' hearts: the fight against cancer.
A huge THANK YOU to all Club members for their generosity and commitment.
